We are offering an opportunity to work on our critical care unit (Eastbourne) to expand your knowledge and skills for acutely ill patients. Youwill be supported to look after patients in the critical care & receive training & support to expand your knowledge in aspects of acutely ill patients.

Are you an experienced band 5 nurse who has passed the ICU course modules both parts and has consolidated for 6 months ?

Eastbourne Critical Care is a 8 bedded unit, comprising 5 Level 3 (ITU) beds and3 Level 2 (HDU) beds. We are currently looking for a Critical Care experienced, motivated and enthusiastic registered nurse to join us. The successful applicant will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising standards of care and professionalism. In return we offer excellent managerial support.

To work within the multi disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to level 2 and 3 patients. Thus providing comprehensive patient care and ensuring the optimum level of physical and psychological well-being is maintained throughout period of critical illness. To provide support to significant others i.e. Relatives and Families during the same period. To provide support to senior and more junior colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care on a shift to shift basis. To take charge of unit in absence of Senior Sister/Charge Nurse colleagues ensuring above is maintained.
