This is a unique job opportunity for newly graduated master students and PhD Candidates within urban mobility and related areas to gain industry experience in parallel to developing your own start-up.
For master students and PhDs who are graduated, we offer fulltime 12-month positions/internships comprising, on average, halftime working for the Urban Mobility Consultancy and the other halftime devoted to developing your start-up.

Half of your time will be dedicated to the new Urban Mobility Consultancy being set up by the EIT Urban Mobility Academy. This consulting part of the position/internship aims to give new graduates a variety of experiences with EIT Urban Mobility community partners, portfolio start-ups and other external actors. These tasks are either well-defined studies, such as helping to create sustainability strategies for cities, aiding new mobility start-ups with market research, business intelligence, innovation etc., or filling clients’ temporary workforce needs.
Master In Entrepreneurship Program
On the other hand, the Entrepreneurship programme aims to support the growth of start-ups founded by graduates. The start-up development will be supported by the EIT Urban Mobility Business Creation team, now becoming the largest urban mobility focused start-up hub and impact investor. For start-ups founded in light of the programme, EIT Urban Mobility will take a small equity stake and in addition consider to financially support them and acquire additional equity. This way the company founded by the participants may potentially benefit from acquiring a quality seal of the renowned EIT Urban Mobility and ensuring inclusion in the largest European urban mobility start-up ecosystem. Up to two candidates may apply based on a joint start-up idea. We seek recent Master’s and PhD graduates in the field of urban mobility and other related fields, giving preference to those who graduated from EIT-labelled degree programmes from any of the EIT KIC organisations.
These positions are open for applications continuously, and fresh applicants will be assessed for hiring at least once every quarter. Applicants for the initial round are planned to be accepted in December 2022.
The internship can be applied as an individual or as a team of two. Teams with at least one member from an EIT-labelled Master’s or PhD programme is preferred. The profile of applicants will be evaluated on an individual and group basis.
